As a Clinical Specialist, with over 17 years experience, I’ve developed a deep understanding of the impact that brain injury and neurological conditions can have on daily life.

I work with a diverse range of conditions, including but not limited to:

• Stroke

• Functional Neurological Disorder (FND)

• Multiple Sclerosis (MS)

• Facial Palsy

• Brain Tumours

• Brain Injury

• Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA)

My Background

Prior to starting Illuminate, I worked for 12 years at the UK’s largest dedicated specialist neurological hospital The National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery.  My experiences there allowed me to  hone expertise in diagnosing and managing a wide range of symptoms including:

• Aphasia

• Cognitive Communication Disorder

• Dysarthria

• Functional Speech Disorders

• Facial palsy

• Dysphagia

Additional certification in health coaching (National Centre for Behaviour Change), enables me to better equip clients with the knowledge, skills and self-confidence to be active participants in their care and achieve their self-identified goals.

I am a fully registered Speech and Language Therapist and member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT), Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP).
